A message from Fr John

Posted on: 28/03/2020

Dear Friends

8.00pm last night and our neighbours on Trinity Crescent, as all across the parish, were out in force to acknowledge the extraordinary efforts of our doctors, nurses and support staff. These days are really helping us to build a sense of gratitude for all we share.
Thank you to those kind people who have left bags of food outside my backdoor - they will be redistributed later today. Any further donations will be dealt with equally quickly.

At 5.00pm today our Holy Father will lead prayer from St Peter’s Square; he asks that the whole Church join with him in prayers for those suffering during this epidemic. It can be followed via the Vatican website and there will be a link through the diocesan website.

As usual, I will offer Mass at 12.00pm for all our intentions - if you have any specific intention please let me know via John.dale@dioceseofsalford.org.uk. Today I will especially remember our family members who live at a distance from us.

P is due for another test; E is stable; special prayers please for S in Critical Care.

O God our Father, you have called us to tread a pilgrim’s path here on earth as we head for the time when we can look on you face to face. Guide us on our journey through this world; defend us from all perils; and give us the grace to endure faithfully to the end, through the mercy of your Son, our Lord Jesus Christ.

St Joseph by your prayer and example guide us through these days

Every blessing

Fr John
