Dear Friends
I hope you are keeping well and relatively sane during these hard times. Please let me know if there’s anything we can do to help individuals or families in need.
Thank you to those who are able to support the food banks - if you can help, there’s a box at the back door of CTK presbytery which is emptied regularly.
Can we please pray for Matthew who died two nights ago and for Chris Bowers whose funeral we will celebrate today at Leigh Cemetery.
We continue to pray for Patricia, Evelyn, Steve, Winnie C. and Mary who are poorly and for Ray, Alf, Stella, Mary, Marcia and Emily who have died, and for all those who mourn them.
We pray for all those in the caring professions and for governments and scientists who are trying to find ways through these dark times.
I was going to send a further quote from Teilhard but I was sent this little note from a headteacher to her students in Newcastle and it’s rather more cheerful:
and the the whole world
walked inside and shut their doors
and said we will stop it all. everything.
to protect our weaker ones
our sicker ones. our older ones.
and nothing. nothing in the history of humankind
ever felt more like love than this

Mass at 12.00pm Exposition at 5.00pm and Scripture discussion at 8.00pm - simple shared reflection on John’s gospel.
Try to find some time to listen to the birds - I saw my first bat here yesterday evening
Stay well and stay safe
St Joseph pray for us
Every blessing
Fr John
