A message from Fr John

Dear Friends

Good morning

It looks as though we’re going to have a couple of days of reasonable weather - fingers crossed.

I came across a little quote from W.E.B. du Bois - an African American civil rights leader and noted academic - which might give us a little pause for thought in these strange times.

‘Lord of the springtime, Father of flower, field and fruit, smile on us in these earnest days when work is heavy and the toil wearisome; lift up our hearts, O God, to the things worthwhile - sunshine and night, the dripping rain, the song of the birds, books and music, and the voices of our friends.
Lift up our hearts to these this night and grant us thy peace.
Amen

Amen. Amen. Amen.
Let us pray for those who are sick especially: Adela, Winnie, Sylvia, Joe, Susan, Irene, Paddy, Jimmy, Maureen, Michael and Steve

And for those who have died especially: Pauline, Richard, Tom, Paula, Michael, Susan, Denis, Tony, Antoinette, Sheila, Michael, Marion, Audrey, Bridget, William, Gerard, Maree and Joe

Please pray for Sheila Riley whose funeral we celebrate today

St Joseph, pray for us

Every blessing

Fr John
