A message from Fr John

Dear Friends

Good morning

Trying to understand the love of God is a lifetime's journey. How is it that the God who creates, calls into being, the great wonder which is our remarkable world can love each one of us - simply, uniquely and wholeheartedly?
We will have to wait until our turn for paradise before we have an answer but in the meantime ...

How about another thought from the sensible and wise Desert Fathers:
An Elder was asked by a certain soldier is God would forgive a sinner.
And he said to him: Tell me, beloved, if your cloak is torn, will you throw it away?
The soldier replied and said: No. I will mend it and put it back on.
The Elder said to him: If you take care of your cloak, will not God be merciful to his own Image?

Or, as the horse said to the boy:
'Always remember you matter, you’re important and you are loved, and you bring to this world things no one else can.’

Mass and Exposition today will be at the usual time on Zoom. Christ the King church will be open from 2-3.00pm.

Tomorrow Mass will be at 5.00pm. We will be celebrating the funeral of Marina Luke at 12.00pm

St Joseph, Guardian of the Son of God and all God’s children, pray for us

Every blessing

Fr John
