Dear Friends
Thank you for celebrating Mass yesterday - it was a timely reminder that at the heart of our parish, diocese and Church is Jesus, the wounded and Risen Lord, the one who gives courage to the community especially when it is locked away in fear. A line in one of the Psalms says, ‘Be strong, let your hearts take courage’.
A thought struck me a the end of Mass yesterday. If you let myself or Maureen have the names of any front line workers, we can publish them here and include them in our prayer list. I will only use their first names and maybe their surname initial; each one of them needs to know how much we appreciate them and how much the Lord will hold them close to Him at this time.
Can we please pray for Evelyn, Winnie C., Mary, Patrick, Michael and Adela who are sick; remembering too their families and all who are caring for them.
We remember all those who have died: Robert R., Roy, Alf, Malcolm, Elsie, Frank, Matthew Stella, Chris, Kenneth, Carol Ann, Ingeburg, Winnie Y., Patricia M., Eileen, Maureen and Joan and all those who mourn them.
A special prayer today please for Ingeburg whose funeral we will celebrate this morning at 10.20 at Agecroft.
Masses received since the lockdown:Joanne Scanlon, Basil Morrison, Joan Proctor, Theodore Tempest, Peter Churley, Emily Louise Jones, Freda Jones, Barry Payne, Dennis Haigh, Tom, Molly & Paul Kenyon, Stewart Bowler, Emily Fiello, Hannah & Joseph Norton, Greg & Phil Norton, Harry & Rene Bowler, Warren Dale, Birthday thanksgiving, Joan Webb, Roland & Kath Cooke, Kath Dale, William & Elizabeth Durkin, Hugh McGuire, William Roberts, Family & Friends, Michael Shearer, Foulds & Hampson families, Patricia McGuiness

Every blessing
Fr John
