A message from Fr John

Dear Friends
Good morning - Second Sunday of Advent
It was so good to see people at Mass yesterday - there was a real feeling of homecoming, back with the family, familiar faces - even if not in their regular places. Let’s hope and pray that we can continue to build on this first weekend and slowly, maybe more people even family ‘bubbles’ might take their rightful places again. We miss the young people for sure but hope they are continuing to grow in prayer and in the faith, taught and inspired by their parents and grandparents.
A prayer for today - from Cafod
Merciful God,
you sent John the Baptist
to preach repentance.
Forgive us for the times
when we have done wrong,
when we have hurt other people
and damaged our earth.
Lead us to make a change,
to live differently,
preparing a way
and making your paths straight
Amen
Please continue to endeavour to stay safe.
St Joseph, guardian of our families, pray for us
Every blessing
Fr John
