A message from Fr John

Dear Friends
Good morning - I hope you’re well
A number of people have asked about the churches being open for communal worship in these present times. For the moment, we will stay open but we are very aware that guidance, and law, may change with only short notice. Please stay safe at home and outside; don’t allow yourself to be compromised in any way - safety is paramount.  And  … we can pray, and are praying, for each other; it’s that commitment to prayer, and openness to the Holy Spirit, which will build our community for the time to come.
A short piece from retired Archbishop Rowan Williams:
'There can be no love without truth. Without clear vision, love is a business of projection and fantasy. And there can be no truth without love. Without trust and tenderness and courtesy, truth will vanish behind the walls of fear and pain.
Marriage presents to us, more clearly than any other human relationship, the unity of truth and love, clarity and charity. And that is one of the many reasons for the fact that it has been found so rich a metaphor to describe the relation of God and humanity.’
Let us keep praying for the people of USA this week; it will be a very testing time for them - may love and truth prevail.
St Joseph, pray for us
Every blessing
Fr John
