A message from Fr John

Dear Friends

Good morning, I hope you and your families are well
The news these days always seems to concentrate on the sad things in our world; moors ablaze, riots in USA, floods in Kenya and Bangladesh, so many death and so many sadnesses. There are good signs too; good people reaching out to others, striving to ensure that no-one is excluded particularly the poor, the sick and vulnerable. Each one of us hopefully will be able to ‘do our bit’ - we can’t simply leave it to others or blame others when things don’t go right.
Taking our share of responsibility obviously takes many different forms, for some that might mean that might mean generous acts of kindness, for others it could be as simple as holding people in prayer. As this crisis goes on, we cannot afford to let our guard down. As they say, we are building the ‘new normal’ now. Care for ourselves, for each other, and for God’s creation really does begin afresh each day.
Special prayers today for our teachers and pupils who are having to adjust rapidly to a changed environment.
We continue to pray
