St Patrick's Family Night

Posted on: 22/03/2019

The evening of Saturday the 16th March saw a successful Family Social held in the church hall at Our Lady & the Lancashire Martyrs, Little Hulton. On arrival, people were greeted with a hall suitably decorated for the occasion by members of the Social Committee, and then sat down and festooned the tables with the drinks and nibbles they had brought along.

Some 60 or more visitors were treated to songs from “Eddie’s Band”, a display of modern Irish dancing from the Fun-Key Dance Factory and party games for everyone. The games included Irish Bingo, Play Your Cards Right, and, especially for the children, Irish Tenpin Bowling and Pass the Potato. The usual raffle was also held. Proceeds, to be announced, will go to the Worsley HCPT Lourdes Group.

Many thanks to all involved in the preparation of the hall, to all musicians, performers and ticket sellers, to those who helped clear away afterwards, and to all who braved the elements to attend.

Watch this space for details of our next event, and do come along and support our growing parish community.
