Dear Friends
Who wasn’t moved to tears yesterday evening watching Pope Francis slowly moving on his own across St Peter’s Square. I was reminded of the verse from 2 Corinthians 12: 9 - ‘My grace is enough for you; my power is at its best in weakness.’
And then, in the cold and rain, he offered further testimony as he meditated on Mark’s Gospel 4: 35 - 41 - the calming of the storm - when the disciples fearfully asked Jesus if he didn’t care.
There were several phrases in his homily which struck me:
‘Let us invite Jesus into the boat of our lives.’
‘Jesus brings serenity into our storms.’
‘The Lord awakens to revive our Easter faith.’
‘By his cross we have been healed.’
‘Ask Jesus to foster the grace that lies within us.’
And significantly for these days of keeping our distance from each other:
‘We must look for new forms of hospitality.’
The was a deep sense of all the Church being united as our Holy Father blessed the city and the world with the Blessed Sacrament. Let us too keep each other in prayer.
Prayers please for P who is comfortable, E who is stable, for S who is poorly and for R who has been taken to hospital.
Can we remember those who have died Anne, Edward, Warren and Mary and whose funerals will be doubly sad. May they rest in peace
If you have any spare food you would like to donate, please leave it in the box at the backdoor of CTK presbytery - although I can’t go out, the box is checked frequently and volunteers are ready to deliver it.
If you know of anyone who needs help please let me know on

I’m still trying to get to grips with Zoom — let me know if you have any ideas on how we might use it.
Mary, Star of the Sea, pray for us
St Joseph, guardian and protector, pray for us
Every blessing
