This World Mission Sunday help missionaries build peace in Nigeria

Posted on: 19/10/2021

Dear Friends

Good morning - wasn’t yesterday miserable? The Scots have a word which sums it up perfectly - dreiche - apologies for the spelling

As we know, this coming Sunday is World Mission Sunday; more than ever we are a Church of mission for the whole world. The world needs to heed Pope Francis’ call to build bridges not walls between peoples of all faiths or none. We need to support our ‘front line’ missionaries who put their lives on the line every day, sometimes in the most difficult circumstances.

There will be envelopes at the back of each church in which you can place your donations, but you can also donate on-line - go to the missio website for some more stories and information

St Joseph, Patron of missionaries, pray for us

Every blessing

Fr John
